I had this plan to make a monthly photo collage every month in 2011. I got a little behind and have just done January. Here it is, February and March are coming soon.

Slice of Life
Trouble
Now that Noah is crawling he gets into EVERYTHING and he has developed quite the little personality. He is a happy baby, for the most part, but if he doesn't like something he will let you know! He likes to play with Tristan's toys and if Tristan pushes him away he will push right back. When he is getting into something or making a mess he gives you the cutest, most mischievous, smile you've ever seen and there is no way you can get mad at him. I think we're in trouble.

The Simple Things-Flowers in the concrete jungle
Yesterday we walked across downtown Denver to get to the St. Patty's Day parade. On the way we walked by a section where they are doing quit a bit of construction, the area is all fenced off and not very attractive. But someone has decided to brighten up the area by decorating the chain-linked fence with colorful yarn flowers. When I saw the garden in the middle of the concrete, dirt jungle it made me smile. Thank you gardener- you brightened our walk!

Playing House
Tristan loves to play house. He is always building a house somewhere. He uses blankets, pillows, bed, toys, anything, to build his house. And he never forgets the door, it seems to be the most important part. Yesterday he built a house in between the bed and chair in our room. He used pillows for the roof and door and had a great time coming in and out of his house through his door.

Cars, cars, cars...
It seems that an obsession with cars is a family trait, Noah is already making the car noise. There is no "mommy" "daddy" or even "mimi" (Tristan's first word), but there is no mistaking the Brrrrrrr car noise he makes as pushing a car around. I guess it might have something to do with the fact he has spent the last 10 months watching his brother play with cars.
Of course cars are also good for chewing.

The Simple Things-I know I shouldn't laugh...
I know that I shouldn't have laughed when Tristan showed me the food in his mouth-its really bad manners to do that-but he really caught me off guard. He was eating a mustard sandwich, which I thought was funny, so grabbed my camera to get a pic of it. I asked him to show me what he was eating and I assumed he would hold out the "sandwich." Instead he opened his mouth and REALLY showed me. He was really proud of himself for being so "funny." When did my toddler get a sense of humor?
